The Maine Compost Company of New Gloucester, Maine was founded by a Maine father and son who wanted to grow fresh organic vegetables and  have a great looking pesticide-free lawn.  We started with one 5x5 compost bin made from twenty year old rough-sawn lumber to fullfill our own composting needs. Well the obsession grew and before long we started producing more compost than we could use.
    Each year we have some of our "Home-Cooked Compost" left over that we sell in one cubic foot biodegradable bags. Please email us with your order request as each bag is only filled on an as ordered first come first served basis.
